Apple iPhone 3GS / Ipod Overheats, Turns Brown

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Shopping

Do you hear the “iPhone Brown” ? No misunderstanding, it is not the new official name for the iPhone 3GS, but the new smartphone is too hot for its own good. The overheating glitch actually singes the phone a golden brown. The French journal, Le Journal du Geek posts a user photo of a burnt iPhone, in which an achromatic iPhone is now blessed with two tan lines down the back.

Uh oh. Is Apple’s newest gadget going up in smoke? No official report from Cupertino is forthcoming, but most are speculating that the problem is Apple’s legendary albatross—battery issues.

The conversation is heating up on Apple’s discussion board. One user quips, “An iPhone getting warm due to a running app is normal. An iPhone getting too hot to touch is not.” But apparently, some users are having just that problem. As one user complained, ” I had been burned…from the iPhone getting so hot.”

Since hitting the market, the iPhone has been legendary for its speed, functionality, touch screen, and thousands of apps. Most users are more than pleased with Apple’s revolutionary smartphone, and the new iPhone 3GS, with an amazing array of cool features, has not been a disappointment. Now bundled with a video camera, compass, higher speeds, and an upgraded firmware, the new iPhone is sizzling hot—in more ways than one.

No functionality seems to be compromised from the incendiary phone, but users don’t want to play hot potato with their iPhone all the time. Apple is going to have to do something.

Finally, if you are a iphone 3gs user, You could try Daniusoft DVD Ripper which a friend told me. It could help you rip DVD (including protected DVD with CSS) for playback on iPod, iPhone, Zune, iPod, Apple TV, PSP, Smart Phone, etc. with only three steps. Also let you set the movie effects.

Training Courses For All Industries: Payment and Types

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Education

Education is the foundation of our future. You’ve probably heard this before and brushed it off as another silly inspirational idiom. However, don’t be too quick to dismiss it. No matter who you are or what you do, there is no limit to knowledge. Because the world is constantly changing, we are in need of a constant refresher course in several different subjects. Training courses can provide us with the new technologies and advanced knowledge that our daily life and jobs demand of us.

Below we have listed some of the common questions surrounding training courses so you can find the best pathway to expanding your knowledge base.

Who pays for training courses? In most instances, you will pay for your training course. However, it is possible to ask your employer to help you with payment or to fully pay for the refresher course. Many companies will pay for certain employees to take part in yearly training courses as a way to ensure they are on top of their industry field. Accredited and online training courses vary in price depending on the level and time of the course. Some short courses are under $100 while 4 year bachelor programs will cost you thousands. Most companies are willing to help with shorter training and in house programs; however, if you want to obtain a new degree, you will most likely need to look elsewhere for the funds. There is financial aid available at the local, state and federal level for those who qualify.

What are the Training options? There are several types of training courses available. There are advancement courses for those who want to advance in their job force; there are degree programs for those who want a new career path; there are information technology courses for those who are trying to make sense of our technological-advanced world.

All of these courses and more are offered through several modes. Some companies have in-house training sessions; many schools in the area provide weekend and night courses on programs; university and colleges offer part time and full time study; and many accredited schools now offer online training courses in every subject under the stars.

What is the best type of training for my situation?

One of the best things about training courses these days is that it’s 100 percent possible to enhance your education in your free time. This means that no matter whom you are, or what your daily life demands, it’s possible to increase your educational skills, and your learning potential. Online training is great for those who do not have the time to attend courses while night training courses are suited to those who work a typical week. Online training is also more suited to those who are individual thinkers and can stay motivated to do the work, regardless of where they are. Traditional learning environments are best suited for those who have the time to commute and who enjoy a structured learning environment.

The 2 Social Sites Poised To Pass Myspace and Facebook

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Social

In the world of social media two companies have stood above the pack for some time, Myspace and Facebook. The recent success of companies like Twitter prove that the two giants are not alone. But are their truly any Social sites out their that can come from so far in the rear and find success, even surpass these mega sites? Say hello to my two new favorite FREE sites.

The first site is a social site, People String, that in all appearances is similar to Facebook, they have the same, invite friends, comment friends, start groups, invites, and events. There a publicly traded company. So what’s so different with this site? How about these features for starters. The most unique and explosive free email service standard. I wasn’t kidding, EXPLOSIVE. There Free email service has standard features like expiring email, if its not read in your set time frame it can’t be read, or BLOW IT UP! Once the email is opened by the reader, after a time you set, 15 seconds to longer, your email burns up in a digital fire making the email unreadable and irretrievable. It’s what 007 wishes he had. Inspector gadget wished it was
only digital. Send a message and have it burn away. This site also links all your social sites to it, Myspace, Facebook,Twitter, and more. The have a im that links all your im’s into one, whether its, yahoo, msn, live, g-talk. You can log into oneim and connect to all of them in one im window.

Not enough? How about editable links to your favorite sites. Still need more? Ok when I saw this one I was truly impressed. By simply using your page to access a network of 400 or so retailers like Wal-Mart, target, OfficeMax, target, Kmart, and 100′s more you will save big bucks. That’s right, you get discount at your favorite retailers websites just by clicking through your homepage. Want to shop at Vista Print, well click through your social homepage instead of your browser and you’ll save 7.5%.

Now your starting to see why this social site is rising faster then a backed
up sink.

But here is the real magic of this site. When you use this site, message friends, use your email, etc. They Pay You. Yeah, I know, I had to read it twice myself, but its true. Just for socializing this site gives 70% of it’s advertising revenue back to its members. When you refer friends to socialize too, they pay you. They’ll even pay you for your friends based on their usage too. The more you and your friends use it, the more you get. You get paid 6 degrees of separation for your friends. I got on the site and in one weekend raked up $23 check for playing and talking to my friend. Come be apart of the next mega social network at People String.

Second Site, BlastOff. Blast off doesn’t pay you to surf, but it does have the same discounts at over 300 retailers. And will pay you a portion of your friends discounts too. Even PizzaHut is throughing in, all their pizza boxes will promote BlastOff. So what’s so great about Blastoff. Simple, they give you a revolutionary homepage. The best way to describe it is an iPhone as a webpage. The first customizable app homepage with an iphone look. Have all your favorite news feeds. company widgets, Youtube, Hulu player right on your page, social sites like Facebook integrated right in, and games you can play all on your homepage. This one is so pretty you’ll instantly fall in love. In fact so many people loved it, the day they launched the massive flow of signups over powered their servers and ground the site to a halt. Go see the
prettiest social site yet.

Myspace and Facebook look out!

Are you a Facebook addict? Would you like to turn your passion for social networking into a steady income stream or successful business?

Are you facing an uncertain job market? Utilize your social networking into a full or part time jobs recruiting and selling through Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other popular social networking sites.

Pity the college kids who are readying themselves for the boredom of working in an office where online profile views are sharply limited or not allowed. Don’t they know that there are jobs that demand this stuff? More and more employers are scouting for social networking skills and trying to fill positions that require daily Facebook diligence.

There are dozens of great opportunities to make money from Facebook, some include employment recruiters, product managers, social marketing managers, but the one job with the greatest personal income potential in the network marketer.

According to Wikipedia, Network Marketing or Multilevel Marketing is a marketing strategy that compensates promoters of direct selling companies not only for product sales they personally generate, but also for the sales of others they introduced to the company. The products and company are usually marketed directly to consumers and potential business partners by means of relationship referrals and word of mouth marketing.

Distributors earn a commission based on the sales efforts of their organization, which includes their independent sale efforts as well as the leveraged sales efforts of their downline. This means that you not only make an income from ts, but the efforts of several or several hundred, or thousnands of people.

This arrangement is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor as well as to an area or region manager. Commissions are paid to multi-level marketing distributors according to the company’s compensation plan. There can be multiple levels of people receiving royalties from one person’s sales.

You can see that with your Facebook popularity, you can build a successful business through network marketing and social marketing, but you now need to choose a company or product to sell or market.

When deciding on a company or product to market through Facebook or other social media outlets and keeping with the leveraged sales efforts of your downline through network marketing, you will want to choose a company or product that will appeal to most if not all of your Facebook friends.

Ask yourself; what are the products or services that your friends currently use that you could profit from? I can think of several products and services that all your friends use, from cell phones, internet, health and beauty products, weight loss and nutrition products, home phone, satellite TV, home security systems, takes vacations or drive a car.

Internet Marketing: Advertising in Disguise

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Webmasters

Most of the world’s best are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. The best motorcycle stunt ever performed, the best circus trick that will make your eye drop, and other best performances executed by extra-ordinary individuals.

But there is another “world’s best” that is not listed on Guinness Book of World Records.

And that is the world’s best Internet marketing tools.

Just like other existing industries, Internet marketing has its own set of the best marketing tools. If you are not new to the world of Internet marketing, many of these marketing tools are quite familiar to you-search engine optimization special software, content management services, affiliate marketing programs, auto responders, and others.

And the list continues to expand as the industry grows over the years.

However, Internet marketing possesses other non-traditional and effective marketing tools that you should know to maximize your potentials as Internet marketers. Some of these marketing tools are said to be “cleverly disguised”, yet these are the world’s best online marketing tools that you can integrate to your online business system.

Here is the quick rundown of the world’s best Internet marketing tools and some pointers in using it with your preferred system.

DOMAIN NAME- you will not easily notice it, but domain name is the first best Internet marketing tool that you must remember. Picking the right domain name will gear your way towards success yet getting it wrong will tell you that your game is over.

What are the things that you should consider when picking up your own domain name? First, you should pick a short, memorable, and keyword-relevant domain name. Picking a domain name that is relevant to your main keyword/s will help you in getting high search engine page ranking of your website. Moreover, it can be an ideal promotional tool, giving a hint to your potential clients what your website is exactly all about.

Internet marketing experts suggests that you set up a particular server for your domain. One server will only carry one domain. Web hosting companies typically have your domain name co-hosting hundreds of domains on a single server. Since all domains are under the same server, this may result to adverse consequences especially if one of the domains is allegedly spamming or behaving unscrupulously. Thus, it is wise that you have a separate IP address for each domain name.

KEYWORDS- it is what Internet researchers type into search engines to locate the information or things that they are looking for. These are one of the most important elements on any online-based marketing venture. Thus, you need to pick the right keywords and you are on your way towards success.

How you will find useful keywords for your Internet marketing business? You must have special keyword research tool or online keyword generator that will help you pick the right keywords. Such tools will supply useful information such as number of searches made monthly, the degree of competition, and the websites that targeting such keywords. Make this as your guide to get targeted traffic to your site that will patronize your products and/or services.

ARTICLES- marketing your website largely depends on organic SEO strategies. One simple strategy is to write and submit keyword-relevant articles to article directories and Internet publishers. As articles directories and Internet publishers displays your articles, you will be able to gain valuable links back to your website. Search engines follow these links and rank your website according to the keywords incorporated on these articles. Maximize the potential of your articles and bring the targeted traffic to your website.

LIST- any Internet marketing system is supported by list. This is a huge database of contacts or individuals who have given you permission to communicate with them through email or newsletter. Most Internet marketers are keeping various databases for each product that they are targeting. Aside from emails and newsletters, you must also set up a list of affiliates that can help you promote and sell your products to your clients. Once you have acquired a huge list of loyal subscribers and affiliates, the door of opportunities will now follow.

Utilize the world’s best Internet marketing tools and see a bright future ahead of your online business career.

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : News

There are lakhs of people in this world. But, only a few of them get the fame. Such people are termed as ‘celebrity’. These are the people which get expertise in any of the popular fields such as sports, movies etc. But, there is one more aspect of the lives of these famous people, which are called ‘gossips’. The gossips are actually some news related to the professional or personal lives of celebrities.

However, celebrity gossips can be related to any famous person such as sports person, film actor, politician etc., but, the main focus remains on actors and actresses. There are mainly two types of gossips i.e. related to the personal life of an actor; or related to the professional life of an actor which can also be included under entertainment news.

Gossips related to the personal lives of the actors include the news about affairs of actors and actresses, divorce cases, romantic scenes, some crime committed by the news, some news related to fashion shows etc. The affairs of actors and actresses always remain in limelight. An interesting fact is that many people take interest in these kinds of news, even more than the movies. On the other hand, sometimes some crimes are committed by these film personalities. Many times, information about such events remain the main news of the newspapers and news channels.

In addition to this, some latest hollywood scandals occurred in fashion shows etc., are also the subjects to gossip. News related to the professional lives of the actors and actresses also fall under the category of celebrity gossips. For instance, in which movie an actor is going to work etc., can also be included in these popular news.

On Internet, there are a number of websites which are specially designed to give the news about gossips. Moreover, you can see some magazines on this subject also. This is because of the people’s interest in the celebrity gossips. These gossips have become the part of the daily lives of some people. That is why these news are the source of livelihood for many people. There is no doubt in the fact that until the entertainment industry exists, gossips will be followed.

You Must Keep Up With Celebrity Gossip

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : News

Many people follow the latest Brad and Angelina news and if you could yourself as one of them: you are part of a very large crowd. Our society simply loves celebrity gossip. We love to know the innermost details of celebrities’ lives. What they do in their personal time, what they wear, what they eat and even quotes they say about very everyday things become real news items.

Celebrities become a real part of our lives. When you follow a favorite television star or movie actor: you wind up watching their shows or films. It often seems as if they are part of your daily life. Therefore, it would be very natural to think that what they do would be of great interest to you. Human beings by nature are very curious and often wonder what makes other people “tick” and act the way they do.

A top reason to love celebrity gossip is that often we see celebrities deal with situations that mirror our own personal lives. When Kristie Alley went public with her weight loss struggles, she gained many more fans who watched her get slim and successfully take those pounds off. Both women and men can relate to someone with a weight problem. It can be quite appealing to watch someone who has been very successful that is struggling with something that you are struggling with as well. It gives you a real “me too” feeling that makes you want to watch this celebrity even more. It also makes these celebrities seem more real to live and less evasive to real people.

Another popular reason to follow celebrity gossip is often this can be a “safe” way for many people to gossip in their personal lives. Some people just love to gossip, but they know if they talk about their neighbors or coworkers that it is likely to get them in trouble if these people find out. However, Jennifer Lopez is unlikely to find out that you feel she spent too much money on her wedding! Gossiping about celebrities can be a way to socialize and have fun with friends. Many friends follow the same television programs and movie actors. Often when you have a great celebrity gossip tidbit, they are excited and thrilled to hear this juicy piece of news.

Many people also like celebrity gossip because it is very glamorous. Celebrities spend money the way water flows down the sink drain. They have three thousand dollar handbags and diamond studded cell phones. Their dogs have real jewelry. They rent private islands for family vacations. When you hear a piece of celebrity gossip, it is usually filled with glamor, intrigue and involves spending more money than most of us will ever see. Many celebrities lead glamorous and exciting lives. Talking about these celebrities can be exciting and thinking about what they do is a great way to daydream about such a glamorous lifestyle. While most of us will never live this type of lifestyle, we certainly can talk about it through the tales of celebrity gossip.

Following celebrity gossip can fun and entertaining. Sometimes it is fun and other times it can be a little shocking. Celebrity gossip is lots of fun to share at the water cooler at work or with the girls while getting a manicure!

Stay up to date on the dirt and check out “Hot Momma Celebrity Gossip Blog“. If you love Celebrity Gossip then you will love this!

Getting Started with Twitter–3 Actions You Must Do

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Social

Reasons for getting started with Twitter are many. As a way of self expression, to converse with like minded people, to enhance your business are all good reasons.

To avoid the most common mistakes, you need do only three things. These mistakes can cost you followers right from the start. But, they are easy to avoid.

The Truth of Your User Name Sets You Free
1. Choose your user name carefully. This should not be a whimsical decision, as it apparently is for many. If your own name is available, use it.

If you are building a business brand, that’s a good choice, too. Especially if you will be Tweeting about your business, or doing customer service with Twitter. A name that is based on a joke that seems outrageously funny right now will get moldy, and then become irrelevant.

If your name is not available, can you use some logical variation? A middle initial, or first initial and last name, first, middle name and last initial are possibilities. Avoid underscores or hyphens. They are an obstacle for phone texters.

Sometimes a name and a hobby or interest may work. TennisBobSmith or ChefSallyAnne are examples. Capitalize the first letters to foster easy recognition.

You Look Good in Your Photo
Most social media sites allow and encourage you to upload your image. If you don’t have a thumbnail picture of yourself on your desktop, make that happen. You want a head shot because the small image will make you into an ant otherwise.

Most computers have some kind of image manipulating software. If you need to call on help from a friend that is more computer savvy, then do it. Having that little photo  of you on the desk top is so handy you can’t even imagine it.

Tell Me About Yourself in 140 Characters or Less
The thumbnail bio is just as important as the thumbnail photo. What you do, like, believe, think, practice, advocate, embody, represent…it’s all grist for the little mill.

You will be looking for people somewhat like yourself. People that have the same hobby, profession, passion, interest will naturally find they are like minded. Give them a clue in your bio.

If you have a blog of any kind, you can include the URL. There’s a place for it when you sign up to Twitter. Your YouTube page, MySpace or FaceBook page, or any other social media site that represents you can suit this criterion.

Signing up for Twitter is very easy. It’s all too easy to be sloppy, vague or unnoticed. Just do these three things well: choose a good user name for yourself, upload a good picture that makes you look friendly, write a short bio with a few key terms to show who you are.

Now if you follow anyone, they can see who you are. It’s still a good idea to Tweet first and then follow. But, now we’re getting into number four.

Happy Twittering.

An Introduction To Public Storage Unit Auctions

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Shopping

Public storage unit auctions are a great way to make money with your own home based business. The contents can be bought and sold on a part or full time basis. When the economy is in a slowdown, these auctions begin to pop up more and more often. These auctions occur when the occupant of the storage unit is unable to pay the bill and the storage company repossesses the contents of the public storage unit. These items are often sold for pennies on the dollar and can be resold on Ebay, Craiglist or flea markets quickly and easily.

Typically in a public storage unit auction, all items are sold in bulk at one price. The door to the unit is opened and bidders can look but can’t touch any of the items. The auction company will charge a buyers premium of 5-10% on the auction price, so be sure to budget your bid accordingly. Some auctions will also have a reserve price or minimum that the storage company will want to get for the contents. The reserve is sometimes called a Pending Owner Approval clause. If you can find auctions without the clause, you will typically find better deals.

Here are some tips to help you decide whether the public storage auction is going to be profitable.

First of all, attend auctions in a decent part of town. People tend to store items near their residence. If it’s a lower class neighborhood, generally the contents will not be as valuable.

Look at the types of boxes that are in the unit. You want to see boxes from moving companies as opposed to items from grocery stores.

If there is furniture in the unit, make sure to examine it carefully.

When you attend the auction, you will need to bring lots of cash, because credit cards are generally not accepted at storage unit auctions. You will also need to bring a truck. You will need to get the unit cleaned asap. It’s also a good idea to have a lock handy just in case you have to make multiple trips. Also, don’t forget to have a dolly, tarps and bungee cords. This makes wrapping your purchases easy.

Public storage unit auctions are a great money maker if you do your homework and are diligent in your research. These auctions are a great business that can be done from home on a full or part time basis.

How to Find Items to Sell on Ebay at Garage Sales

Comments Off

Posted on : 31-12-2009 | By : admin | In : Shopping

We have changed our clocks, baseball has started, so that can only mean one thing – its spring garage sale time. If you haven’t tried garage sales for finding merchandise to sell on eBay, maybe you should explore this option.

There is a strategy for getting the most out of your garage sale shopping efforts. Here are a few tips to help you maximize your efforts, and minimize your time investment.

1) Plan ahead. Go to craigslist.org to look for garage sale ads in your area. More and more people are relying on craigslist for free advertising. Garage sales usually start on Fridays, and the posts on craiglist start appearing on Tuesdays. Check daily for new posts, and keep a list of sales in your area. You can also look at your local newspaper’s website for garage sale ads. The big neighborhoods will usually advertise there. You can find a lot of items quickly if you go to the neighborhood sales, versus sales scattered around town.

2) Go to sales in the affluent parts of town. First, they will have better items. Second, you have no idea of a person’s financial situation and they may be having a garage sale to pay bills.

3) Go early. Most garage sales will start at 8 AM. Arrive early to get the best selection. The earlier in the day you start the better chance you have of finding “good” stuff.

4) Take plenty of cash. You don’t want to have to take valuable time convincing the seller to take your check. Most people have a garage sale for one reason – to make money. They don’t want checks – they want cold, hard, cash.

5) Be prepared. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Take bottled water. Keep snacks in the car. Bring your cell phone in case you find something you are unsure about, you can call your spouse or a friend for their opinion.

6) Don’t be afraid to bargain or make offers. People have garage sales to get rid of stuff. They don’t want to have to haul it all back in the house at the end of the day. Make reasonable offers and be fair.

7) Use the “cash in hand” technique. I do this all the time. Say for example I find something for $20, and think it is overpriced. I inconspicuously take a $10 bill out of my pocket and walk up to the seller. Then, with the bill in plain view, I say, “Hi, I am interested in that item over there. I only have $10 left, would you take that?” Seeing the cash, the seller usually takes it. The idea is to be reasonable. The later in the day that you use this technique, the better it works.

I have some interesting stories about garage sales. I went to a huge neighborhood sale in my community last fall. The woman had all kinds of men’s items – really nice clothing, shoes, golf equipment, sporting goods, and “guy stuff.” I found a really nice pair of Justin lizard skin boots, barely worn, for $5. (These boots retail for about $300.) That was an amazing find. So, I went to pay for the item, and the woman started telling me how she and her husband had a fight and he left town on a hunting trip for a week. She was having a garage sale and getting rid of all his stuff that she didn’t like. I asked, “He isn’t going to track me down and get me, is he?” She just laughed, and said, “Probably not. I might sell his car, too.” Those boots ended up selling for $98 and were shipped to Germany.

You might be wondering what to look for at garage sales. Here are some examples of what I have found, and how much the items sold for on eBay.

1) George Forman grill new in box , $5, sold for $30 2) Hooked on Phonics set, excellent used condition, $5, sold for $68 3) Mary Kay cosmetics, various items new in boxes, paid $1 each, sold for about $10 each (the lady was a Mary Kay rep getting rid of inventory) 4) Oscar de la Renta wool blazer new with tag, $5, sold for $52 5) Wagner wallpaper remover steamer new in box, $5, sold for $25 6) Dr. Martens shoes, gently worn, $3, sold for $47 7) Pampered Chef apple corer/peeler, used with box, $5, sold for $20 8) Men’s Nike Shox shoes, gently worn, $3, sold for $46 9) Yankee 20 oz jar candle, barely used (was lit once and the person didn’t like the scent), $1, sold for $12 10) Lexmark printer ink cartridge, new in box, $1, sold for $16

Look for items new in the package or new in the box. Look for gently used designer apparel and shoes. So, you can see that garage sales are a great venue for finding items to sell. If you plan ahead, you can get a lot accomplished in one day.
