Who pays for training courses? In most instances, you will pay for your training course. However, it is possible to ask your employer to help you with payment or to fully pay for the refresher course. Many companies will pay for certain employees to take part in yearly training courses as a way to ensure they are on top of their industry field. Accredited and online training courses vary in price depending on the level and time of the course. Some short courses are under $100 while 4 year bachelor programs will cost you thousands. Most companies are willing to help with shorter training and in house programs; however, if you want to obtain a new degree, you will most likely need to look elsewhere for the funds. There is financial aid available at the local, state and federal level for those who qualify.

What are the Training options? There are several types of training courses available. There are advancement courses for those who want to advance in their job force; there are degree programs for those who want a new career path; there are information technology courses for those who are trying to make sense of our technological-advanced world.

All of these courses and more are offered through several modes. Some companies have in-house training sessions; many schools in the area provide weekend and night courses on programs; university and colleges offer part time and full time study; and many accredited schools now offer online training courses in every subject under the stars.

What is the best type of training for my situation?

One of the best things about training courses these days is that it’s 100 percent possible to enhance your education in your free time. This means that no matter whom you are, or what your daily life demands, it’s possible to increase your educational skills, and your learning potential. Online training is great for those who do not have the time to attend courses while night training courses are suited to those who work a typical week. Online training is also more suited to those who are individual thinkers and can stay motivated to do the work, regardless of where they are. Traditional learning environments are best suited for those who have the time to commute and who enjoy a structured learning environment.

(CHICAGO – September 6, 2005) Argosy University announced today
that it will assist students from universities in New Orleans,
southern Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama universities, which
have been closed for the foreseeable future due to the
devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Argosy University will make available both on-campus and online
courses that might be able to permit dislocated students to
progress in their academic careers during this semester of
disruption. Students at a university forced to close by
Hurricane Katrina may register at any of Argosy University’s 13
campuses across the nation for courses, on a space-available
basis, for the fall terms.

Argosy University will waive tuition for dislocated students
who have already registered and paid tuition at their home
institution for the fall 2005 semester. If dislocated students
have not yet paid their tuition at their home institution, they
will be assessed the lesser of the current published tuition and
fees at the home institution, or Argosy University’s published
tuition and fees, as determined by the Argosy University campus
president.

assistance to college students impacted by Hurricane Katrina,”
says Dr. Gregory O’Brien, president of Argosy University.
“Argosy University is concerned for the well-being of these
students, and this initiative is our way of reaching out with
compassion and benevolence to those affected. We pledge to do
all that we can to assist college students in the Gulf Coast
region to continue their education and continue in their lives.”

According to the American Council on Education, more than 30
colleges and universities in the Gulf Coast region have been
severely damaged by the hurricane, and possibly 100,000 students
have been displaced from their schools.

information technology, and organizational leadership. Doctoral
degree programs in clinical psychology (accredited by the
American Psychological Association), are available at several
