Jest Practices: Best Practices for Humor in the Workplace

0

Posted on : 21-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

Most agree that humor in the workplace can have beneficial effects. Yet not all humor is good humor. The challenge: how to interject appropriate humor and fun into our serious jobs without hurting others or seriously undermining the company. When used appropriately, humor can work for you.

Humor that Uploads Also Uplifts

Humor has the power to make people feel special. When you include people in fun it simultaneously improves morale, reduces stress and facilitates team building. With the prevalence of telecommuting and workgroups scattered geographically, the challenge of furthering working relationships, bonding and building camaraderie is real. At one San Francisco Bay Area company a workgroup staged an elaborate Remote Baby Shower. The expectant mother, who was out-of-state, called in for a pre-arranged conference call with her workgroup. When she did…surprise! Everyone was having a party in her honor. They uploaded digital photos of a decorated conference room and each other, and e-mailed sound files with well wishes. Everyone shared in the good cheer. This creative use of technology brought employees closer to each other, figuratively if not literally.

Humor That Brings People Together

Workplaces are full of opportunities to use humor for the benefit of all. Milestones are a natural place to employ humor. Dress like the recipient as a tribute during a surprise birthday party. Other celebrations to mark anniversaries, project completions or similar accomplishments are perfect opportunities to utilize humor. Even surviving certain projects is cause for celebration and fun.

Holidays are another natural time to employ humor. Halloween is a time for contests to see who can best decorate conference rooms; for other companies the anniversary of their founding is cause for celebration. Silly speeches, skits and spoofs abound.

And the Award Goes To…

Staging award ceremonies is a great way to have fun, recognize each other and revel in the shared work experience. Whether the categories mimic those found at the Oscars, Emmys or Tonys, or are derivative, esprit de corps rises when the team laughs at itself and each other. Best Supporting Actor, Best Impersonation of an Inanimate Object, Best Special Effects, Most Likely to Secede, or Lifetime Achievement Award.

Humor Is The Winning Ticket

Pranks can alternately be uplifting or uprooting. A desktop publisher, on April Fools Day, adorned his co-workers cars’ windshields with mock yellow parking tickets, complete with envelopes for remittance. Upon closer inspection, these true-to-life replicas of tickets had whimsical offenses of significance to the recipients. The departmental joker’s ticket cited him for “excessive use of farce” and the hard charging corporate counsel’s infraction charged him with a “Failure to Yield.” Of course the initiator of the gag was later cited for impersonating an officer. Everyone laughed at the spoof once they realized it was a joke. Judge Judy’s signature at the bottom of the ticket gave it away.

Pole Position

A fast growing company didn’t have enough office space for full cubicles for its new hires. One unfortunate hire’s assigned cubicle had a giant pole in its midst. To her credit she never complained. Co-workers felt for her. One night they hit the streets, collecting various fliers from telephone poles in their neighborhoods. The next day when the new hire reached her cubicle, the offending pole was now covered with notices about missing pets, renters seeking apartments, cheap movers for hire and even local GRE study groups. Not only did the employee know her co-workers felt her frustration, it bonded them as well as they pulled together to help one of their own.

One Person’s Humor is Another Person’s Horror

When targeting humor consider targeting yourself. Everyone has a different idea of what’s funny and what’s not. Many a well intentioned prank or joke has backfired. One co-worker sent another a prank letter impersonating a local media figure. The recipient mistook it for real, interpreted it as harassment and called the FBI. Oops!

The Benefits of Self-Effacing Humor

When we make fun of ourselves it actually demonstrates our healthy outlook, showing we don’t take ourselves so seriously. As a result, we’re regarded as more approachable and down to earth. Don’t make fun of yourself excessively. Such humor loses its effectiveness with overuse.

Everyone from politicians to CEOs to Southwest Airlines flight attendants use self-deprecating humor – humor that makes fun of themselves – to get people laughing at, and consequently with them. You can too.

While gallows humor may feel appropriate during layoffs and cutbacks, strive to employ humor that uplifts and taps universal themes for best results. Here’s to laughter!

Funny Online Videos Make My Day

0

Posted on : 20-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

There are very things as much fun as watching your favorite genre of online videosm.

Sounds strange? I agree. But without any of the fanfare that accompanied other online technologies and applications, online videos have altered the way that we live. It has made everyone of us a media mogul. A mogul of the kind that does not make too much money unfortunately.

Watch something funny? What do you do? Simple, record it in your video camera and post it online.

Many people perform the most hilarious stunts for dorm-mates. Why restrict your responsibly humorous act to dorm mates? Why not share it with the rest of the world? Of course several of these matters become a subject of taste. For instance, I know of a lot of people who create videos where they depict themselves setting fire to expelled body gas.

And that is how the viral effect of the Internet works, some people savour such delights. Others find them taste-less, though they are still unclear about whether to classify these videos as odor-less too. There, you saw my feeble attempt at humor.

So you create funny videos and post them on your site. Or you could post them on one of the many sites out there that allow free uploads as well as downloads. Some such sites have actually started offering monetary rewards. These are usually in the form of compensation based on the number of people who view the video.

Get ridiculous, shoot, upload. That is it. That is not the end of the story. Indeed it is just the beginning. If you really want the video to become famous, you will have to make it famous. Promoting it decently at many online venues is a good choice. At the very least you can forward the links to your friends and family.

That does not mean that everyone is a producer. While all of you generous producers make this stuff, I am the consumer. In fact, I cannot help but watch a video or two at sites that have a video section. I am usually interested in top rated videos and editor’s choices.

Candid and staged are the two genres of comedies. I enjoy both kinds, though I tend to be partial to the former. One of my favorites is serious videos, e.g., tutorials, news videos and the like, that go wrong.

For instance, I just finished watching a video where the newsreader rapidly recovered from using the preposition “off” instead of “up” when referring to “power companies are planning to jack up your electricity bill.’ I watched it again and again. Then I let it be known to all my friends.

If I have managed to pique your curiosity, why not watch some crazy funny videos or for that matter Scary Videos if that is your thing. While you are at it, please also visit a site I recommend about Bollywood News.

Funny Marriage Advice to Make Your Marriage Stronger

0

Posted on : 19-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

Marriage is serious business. After all, for most people the person we marry is someone with whom we share our home, money, and love – and even our kids! And, marriage is forever – or at least that is how most people intend it to be when they get married. Most married people spend a significant amount of their personal time in close proximity to their spouses.

In order to take a lighter view on the serious business of marriage, I have collected some of my favorite funny bits of folk wisdom and advice on the subject of how to keep your marriage healthy, healthy, and strong. So, here is some funny marriage advice to make your marriage stronger:

1. Don’t date anyone you wouldn’t marry:

This one is really more of a comment on how to conduct oneself before marriage. For most people, dating is as much a way to have fun as it is to find a life mate. After all, dating often includes going out on the town, having some good food, maybe a bit of dancing – doing things that are outside of the ordinary, hum-drum of pattern daily life. But, this piece of advice implies something important about dating: it can lead to something much more serious. If you go out on date after date with someone about whom you are not necessarily crazy (but are just doing it to have a bit of fun), the strategy could backfire on you. Things might get serious before realize it, and you could end up compromising and marry the wrong person.

2. Don’t fight about money – there is never enough to go around anyway:

As most married couples will tell you, money is one of the biggest sources of conflict within a marriage. Money – and how we handle it – is so personal and no two people view it in exactly the same way. Combine that with the fact that most married couples share their money; that is, they add to and take from the same “pot” on a regular, ongoing basis. And, for most people, there just never seems to be enough money to do all of the things we want to do. The solution? Realize that there will probably always be a bone to pick between you regarding how each of you handles money – but that is no reason to fight. Just agree to disagree on the small stuff and move on.

3. If you are a woman: do not expect your husband to change after marriage:

Women, be honest with yourselves: if you are like most women, when you married your husband you had all sorts of specific expectations about ways he would become an even better or more pleasing person post-marriage. This is just a huge fantasy, so you need to let this notion go! Of course, married men do change over time. But, such change is not always necessarily for the better, and it is very unlikely that the things a woman dislikes most about her husband are going to magically go away. The best advice for women is to not expect your man to change and to try to accept him for who he is.

4. If you are a man: do not expect your wife not to change after marriage:

Calling all men: when you married that perfect little bride of yours, you formed a mental picture in your mind of what she was (or what you imagine her to be). As time passes, you may have noticed that the gap between the person your wife is today and that mental image of how she “used to” be is getting larger and larger. Fact is, most men start reminiscing about the way things were (or they way they thought things were) with their wives before they got married, lamenting the ways she has changed since then. Here is a little piece of advice: embrace the changes she has gone through and enjoy the ride!

5. Never have breakfast together:

This last one really hits home with me. Neither my wife or I are morning people. When we get up each morning, we need to give each other as wide a berth as possible, lest we risk getting our heads removed by the grumpy monster in the room. That means staying out of each other’s way for at least the first half hour in the morning. And, of course, having breakfast together immediately after getting up in the morning is completely out of the question!

Making a marriage successful requires a lot of hard work and patience. At the same time, keeping a good sense of humor about your marriage can actually be very good medicine.

T-shirts – Gift Ideas That are Funny Yet Memorable

0

Posted on : 18-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

T-shirts always make great gifts. Whether it is someone’s birthday, a family reunion party, a get together with old friends, or anything like that, if you are thinking about greeting them with a gift, you must consider gifting them a t-shirt. In fact, it will be even better if you personalize the gift by giving your guests a custom made t-shirt.

There can be different themes you can use, depending upon the occasion and the personality of the recipient. For example, if he/she is someone pursuing a medical degree course, you may consider giving a medical occupation t-shirt. Likewise, if he/she is pursuing a degree course in law, a lawyer t-shirt will make a great gift. However, sometimes, you may find it difficult to choose the right theme. If you are going through any such predicament where you do not know what to choose, you should consider gifting  funny t-shirts. They always work.

Funny Ideas

T-shirts with funny one-liners printed on the same sell like hot cakes. In order to make the gift memorable for the recipient, try those items where the one-liners express tongue-in-cheek humor. A dress with funny images and cartoons printed on it will also make a great gift idea.

Ideas For Family Reunion Gifts

In America, a family reunion party is celebrated with as much excitement as any other local festival is celebrated. Therefore, you obviously will have to come up with a unique gift idea. If you do not want to experiment with new innovative ideas, t-shirts will probably make the best choice for you. However, you must be very careful in selecting the design and style. It should be wearing which they remember their old days. That is the reason why you should consider a custom-made t-shirt for this occasion. This is because only they know those things that can reconnect them to the old memorable days. All it needs is a bit of imagination, creativity, and effort. If you are ready to put all these things together, you can easily come up with a gift that the recipients will remember with fondness. The day will become memorable forever. So, go ahead and get some special family reunion t-shirts printed with images, cartoon, or humorous one-liners.

T-shirts are available in a wide array of styles and design. The different types that you can choose from may include half or full sleeved, sleeveless, oversized ones, printed, tank tops, plain with nothing printed on it, a blend of prints and needle work, embroidered, and other such types. As you can see, your choices are endless. You just have to make sure that whatever you choose, it must be something that can help the wearer stand out in the crowd.

If you are considering giving T-shirts as gift, funny t-shirts will make a great idea. There are t-shorts available for just every occasion, such as family reunion t-shirts .

7 Steps to Making a Humorous Video

0

Posted on : 17-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

There are lots of humorous videos made although not all of them can really elicit heartfelt sidesplitting laughter. Those videos are rare, spontaneous and appealing to one’s senses since it depicts a very warm and real person. This is the reason why kids are usually used in videos. They give out a certain appeal to the audience that reflects their innocence and naivetĂ©. So how do you make a humorous video? Here are seven steps to help you out:

1.Choose a subject that you are familiar with.

This is important since this will be the basis of your whole video. Knowing the subject, be it a person, an animal, or a situation will greatly help in the spontaneity of the video. By being familiar with the subject of your video, you can create a scene that you know would look good in and be able to do well. One criteria of a potential subject is one who can be funny without actually trying to be just so.

2. Decide on the scene to be done.

What do you think will make your audience laugh? Is it slapstick humor? Will they laugh if they see you fall flat on your face or will they laugh if they see your face? Is the humor something that they can relate with? Is it something original or just an imitation of something you have seen?

3. Prepare the location for the shoot.

Where you need to shoot the video doesn’t need to be extravagant. In fact, the more typical the location looks, the more natural the video will turn out to be. You usually don’t need to take up much space. You can just use a room, or even your own backyard to shoot your video.

4. Make a tentative shot of the video.

When you have finished setting up the needed props and paraphernalia for the shoot, and all things are already in place, take a first shot of your video. This is like a dress rehearsal on how the video will turn out to be.

5. View the tentative video and edit if needed.

Watch the first video that you made and see if you still need to shoot another one. If the technicalities of the video are fine with you, then you don’t really have to make another one.

6. Show the video to your family or friends for further review.

Your family and friends may be the best or worst critics that you can get. Showing them the video can give you a first-hand appraisal if the video turned out the way you wanted it to be. Do not inform them about the type of video you have made because it may make them predisposed to laughing when the punch line hasn’t been delivered yet. Get their comments and suggestions to improve on it.

7. Put the finishing touches on the video.

When you have gained the desired reaction from your audience by allowing them to view your video (the point here is to make them laugh), then you know that what you have done is right. It is now ready to be launched for public display.

Making a humorous video is actually harder than making any other film because it is not easy to make someone laugh. But it is also the simplest to make. Enjoy making the video and surely, your audience will enjoy watching it too!

Slubber.com offers an easy way to find all the humerous videos and the funny video clips you want on the entire Internet all in one spot. Use our humor search portal to find what you’re looking for!

Healing With Laughter and Humor Using a Vision Board

0

Posted on : 16-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

Laughter and humor have been popular practices in healing our mind, body and spirit; there have even been medical tests and studies that have proven that this is a beneficial practice in getting and keeping well.

The power of thoughts and emotions can manifest good in our bodies as well as create what we don’t want, just by what we are thinking. Studies have shown that a positive attitude or emotional state can boost your chances of surviving almost any kind of dis-ease, but what is mostly talked about is cancer.

Now it is even common for doctors to recommend different kinds of laughter and humor to their patients as a way of improving their immune systems and other serious diseases. Some of the doctors don’t call it law of attraction, but stick with a more middle of the ground statement of, will to live and/or fighting spirit.

One of the best methods is to have a Laugher and Humor Vision Map Video that you can watch on a daily basis and in the privacy of your home, car or wherever you have an electrical device to watch videos. You can watch this as many times a day you want and create a daily habit of laughing and you can even watch it several times a day. They are fun to watch and they remind you to laugh and to have fun.

Another powerful emotion to use when dealing with illness and/or dis-ease is love and spirituality; these are great for a hopeful and optimistic attitude. Laughter helps overcome the trials of each day, and when you create a way of laughing in the midst of your illness, you automatically shift toward a frame of mind that invites a healing outlook and an intention that you can diminish the dis-ease.

Even though cancer always seems to come up when we are talking about healing ourselves there are many other instances that work well with laughter and humor, such as chronic pain, divorce, death, loss of a home, loss of a friend, credit card debit and I am sure you can think of more.

Work on making it your goal to find something to laugh at every day, and to practice taking yourself a little less seriously and what this will do is lighten the situation you are in to a level that comes with more joy.

When you laugh an enthusiastic laugh it can help to reduce stress, maintain the right blood pressure, elevate mood, boost immune system, improve brain functioning, protect the heart, it can foster instant relaxation, and the reason it does this is that it stimulates production of endorphins, a natural painkiller, and reduces levels of the stress hormone, which contributes to high blood pressure and other conditions.

They now have laughter clubs and groups which have a definite format to increase and teach people how to laugh, it is a great therapy and one of these groups would be a great thing for you to check into and see if you have one in your area. There are also laughter and yoga classes where they combine the two and this is also very effective.

Have you ever noticed that when you laugh really hard, you stop thinking? It puts you right in the present moment and there is nothing better than being in the NOW, as it leaves all of our pressing issues at rest for at least a little while. One way to do this is to learn how to, see funny instead of trying to be funny.

Watch the Vision Map Video first thing in the morning and get your day started right and for sure watch it last thing before going to bed to cleanse all the events that happened during the day.

Darlene has researched and practiced many spiritual and personal growth paths and now is presenting Vision Map Videos to further enlighten and enrich the life of others thru visual perceptions. Funny Pranks 101

0

Posted on : 15-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

Have you ever tried to pull a well-planned funny prank to get your day started off right? If not, this is your opportunity! Pranks are little jokes that we play on the people we know and love. If you do them right, they could make both of you laugh until milk is shooting out of your noses.

The key to successful funny pranks is to ruffle your victim’s feathers without making them too angry or frightened. There’s a fine line between the two! Here are some tips and suggestions to ensure that your funny pranks go off without a hitch.

1) Write a zany note.
Notes can be great for pranks on people you don’t know too well. They are relatively unobtrusive, and also won’t get under your victim’s skin too much. If someone finds a humorous note in a place they don’t expect, it will just brighten their day and give them a good laugh. A tradition I’ve started with my husband is to attack him with an “Ant Brigade” note, which I leave in several odd places around our home. He never knows where the Ant Brigade is going to show up to pester him – the pantry, the couch, even the shower!

2) Make your victim the center of attention.
This well-known funny prank is best reserved for friends you know well. It’s also good for family members that will love you no matter what you do to them. When you’re in a crowded department store, you just turn to your victim and exclaim “Who ARE you? And WHY do you keep following me?” Other popular variations include “NO, I will NOT hold your hand” and “I know you miss your mommy, but we’ll be home soon!” Comments of this nature will get your victim quite a few strange looks. This can be hilarious, especially if your friend has a good sense of humor.

3) Set up a booby trap.
The booby trap prank is a classic! You set an object up to fall as soon as your victim walks into or out of a place. A wonderful example is setting up ice cube trays at an incline, in order to stage an ice cream avalanche from the freezer. You could also rig a mannequin to fall out of a closet when it’s opened. As you can see, you can get quite creative with this one, especially around Halloween. That’s when there are a number of plastic spiders and skeletons for sale at local stores.

4) Watch your back.
After you pull a funny prank on someone, you should beware of one thing: payback. If your prank is particularly good, you are definitely going to warrant a revenge attack. So my advice is to be prepared! And don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The Funny Side of Aging

0

Posted on : 14-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

What’s so funny about growing old? Not a whole lot, according to the wisest man who ever lived. Here’s what Solomon said about our “Golden Years:”

Honor and enjoy your Creator while you’re still young,

Before the years take their toll and your vigor wanes,

Before your vision dims and the world blurs

And the winter years keep you close to the fire.

In old age, your body no longer serves you so well.

Muscles slacken, grip weakens, joints stiffen.

The shades are pulled down on the world.

You can’t come and go at will. Things grind to a halt.

The hum of the household fades away.

You are wakened now by bird-song.

Hikes to the mountains are a thing of the past.

Even a stroll down the road has its terrors.

Your hair turns apple-blossom white,

Adorning a fragile and impotent matchstick body.

Yes, you’re well on your way to eternal rest,

While your friends make plans for your funeral.

Life, lovely while it lasts, is soon over.

Life as we know it, precious and beautiful, ends.

The body is put back in the same ground it came from.

The spirit returns to God, who first breathed it.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-7 (The Message)

Old King Solomon said it all, didn’t he? Sure, aches and pains aren’t much fun. Getting wrinkles along with a bigger belly (or butt) isn’t much of a laugh either. And say, those mirrors are getting downright vicious! Tell me, do you make a shopping list because you know you can’t trust your memory, and then go off and forget the list? Yep, been there and done that. So my fellow maturing baby boomers, other than joining the vampires in avoiding mirrors and taping our grocery list to our wrist, how can we best cope with the aging dilemma?

I say quotable quotes! That’s right; let’s turn to the most humorous quotes we can find on aging and see if that doesn’t help ease the burden of seeing too way too many candles glaring at us on the birthday cake.

Here’s the cream of the crop — or at least the best I have been able to dig up:

“You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.” Dave Barry (1947-) American humorist

“The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.” Lucille Ball (1911-1989) American actress

“If you want to recapture your youth, just cut off his allowance.” Al Bernstein American writer and actor

“There’s no fool like an old fool — you can’t beat experience.” Jacob Morton Braude (1896-1970) American writer, author

“By the time you’re eighty years old you’ve learned everything. You only have to remember it.” George Burns (1896-1996) American comedian and actor

“I can’t understand why I flunked American history. When I was a kid there was so little of it.” George Burns

“If you live to the age of a hundred you have it made because very few people die past the age of a hundred.” George Burns

“Nice to be here? At my age it’s nice to be anywhere.” George Burns

“Old age is when you resent the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated because there are fewer articles to read.” George Burns

“No man knows he is young while he is young.” G. K. Chesterton (1874-1936) English writer

“Old age isn’t so bad when you consider the alternatives.” Maurice Chevalier (1888-1972) French actor and singer

“He is so old that his blood type was discontinued.” Bill Dana (1924- ) American comedian, actor and screenwriter

“I’m at the age where food has taken the place of sex in my life. In fact, I’ve just had a mirror put over my kitchen table.” Rodney Dangerfield (1921-2004) American comedian and actor

“The really frightening thing about middle age is that you know you’ll grow out of it.” Doris Day (1924- ) American actress, singer

“One of the many things nobody ever tells you about middle age is that it’s such a nice change from being young.” Dorothy Canfield Fisher (1879-1958) American author

“I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up.” Harry Hershfield (1885-1974) American comic artist

“Middle age is when you still believe you’ll feel better in the morning.” Bob Hope (1903-2003) American comedian, actor

“Middle age is when your age starts to show around the middle.” Bob Hope

“If you don’t learn to laugh at trouble, you won’t have anything to laugh at when you’re old.” Edgar Watson Howe (1853-1937) American journalist

“Whenever a man’s friends begin to compliment him about looking young, he may be sure that they think he is growing old.” Washington Irving (1783-1859) American author

“Age is not a particularly interesting subject. Anyone can get old. All you have to do is live long enough.” Groucho Marx (1890-1977) American comedian

“Old age is like flying through a storm. Once you’re aboard, there’s nothing you can do.” Golda Meir (1898-1978) Prime Minister of Israel

“A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, ”At my age, I don’t even buy green bananas.’ ” Claude D. Pepper (1900-1989) Florida Senator and a Representative

“Some grow bitter with age; the more their teeth drop out, the more biting they get.” George D. Prentice (1802-1870)

“The denunciation of the young is a necessary part of the hygiene of older people, and greatly assists in the circulation of their blood.” Logan Pearsall Smith (1865-1946)

“I’m so lonesome; they are all dying; I have hardly a warm personal enemy left.” James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) American painter, etcher, and wit

“I am not young enough to know everything.” Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) Irish author and wit

“As long as a woman can look ten years younger than her own daughter, she is perfectly satisfied.” Oscar Wilde

There, did that help? Yeah, I know. Some of the quotes aren’t that funny. I just threw them in to see if you were still awake. Why don’t you memorize a few of these quotations and try them out on a old friend or two. You might brighten up their day. Or they may just hold up their ear trumpet and cry, “Eh?”

If I haven’t listed your favorite aging quote, email it to me and I’ll include it in the next article.

I believe you eventually become whatever you allow your mind to think about. So if you want to be happy during the “senior years,” my advice is: start a collection of humorous quotes. It sure beats mulling over your aches and pains! Who knows, after a few inspiring words from George Burns or Oscar Wilde, even that old buzzard you see in the mirror might start to look more chirpy.

Funny Best Speeches: How to Prepare and Deliver a Funny Best Man Speech

Posted on : 13-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Humor

Having the best man at a wedding delivering a great speech about the groom seems to be a common tradition. Some people simply do not like getting in front of a crowd of any size to talk. They feel nervous or are just plain scared about it. In reality, delivering something comical will help break the silence within the crowd and will help you feel more comfortable about being in front of them.

When preparing for your funny best man speech, it is a common situation that you simply do not know where to begin. Failing to deliver is probably a very scary thought for you. When considering going with a humorous best man speech, you should learn from the best. The best at doing these types of things would certainly be stand up comedians. When we look at stand up comedians, you sometimes just consider these people to be naturally humorous. However, this is not always the case.

A lot of the time you will find that there is just great delivery within their jokes that make it funny. These are things they have worked on. To make this thing short, there are three things that any entertainer uses to make things run smoothly. Preparation, organization, and delivery are huge.

First, preparation is absolutely crucial. When you look at a comedian, it is not the first time that they have told the joke when you see them live. In fact, they have probably had it in their head for days prior. They have probably told the joke to their friends and said it in front of a mirror a few dozen times prior to being up on stage. You should always plan out the things you are going to say within your speech.

The second step is organization. Make sure that your stories flow with one another. If they don’t, you could perhaps be viewed as just rambling and it would make it much less funny, or even worse, a funny story that is not funny at all.

The third, as mentioned above, is delivery. Once you have your speech laid out and you know how it is going to come out, you have to be ready to deliver it. Follow through with your plan. Not everyone is going to laugh at every single thing you say. However, sticking with your plan will help you stay focused and keep from stuttering.

Make sure your speech is smooth and focus on one person if you have to. You will do fine by following these steps! The second step is organization. Make sure that your stories flow with one another.
